Beware of the Teachers!

These days there are so many TEACHERS that abuse there positions by abusing kids. Some people like to point there suspicions at other people, but they completely trust their kids teachers. So many molesters and abusers slip through the cracks of the background checks and whatever else the school districts do to make sure their teachers are "safe."

I understand that there is only so much you can do to make sure that these people are "safe" and that these districts are doing all they can, but there needs to be something else they can do. I see on the news all the time that they've found another teacher that has been doing things to kids (for years even!!).

It's also really stupid how suspicious parents can get of other people, but they don't get suspicious of teachers. When there in the biggest position to abuse your children!

Janitor for a day!

I know this is a little late to talk about but last Friday I got to sub for a janitor at the local high school. It was a little weird because I practically just graduated from there. However, it was good.

I actually liked it better than being a janitor at the grade schools because they are SOOOOOOO MUCH more laid back about things. I worked hard and now I will have some money to spend.

Why do we need uniforms??

I'm now going to be talking about the schools in this world who require uniforms (in general, I have no specific school in mind). I know there are some good things with uniforms but we'll get to those in a bit. Let's start with the......

CONS

• No individuality
• Kids can't really become who they're supposed to be with this restriction
• Kids can't show off what (or who) they believe in (or root for) on their clothes

With school uniforms kids have no sense of individuality. They can't be who they are and they can't express themselves because everyone is the same. They can't grow and turn into what they were made to be (making the kind of choices like what to wear helps with these things). They can't wear clothes with sayings or different things that they want to advocate for either.

PROS

• Less Bullying (it won't all go away)
• Economic Classes disappear

There are only a couple things that I can think of when it comes to wearing school uniforms. There is less bullying over what people are wearing including who (or what) people choose to display on their clothes! There will still be bullying though. Some people just bully to make themselves feel better and they don't care what the person is wearing! Also, the poor become richer and the rich become poorer! The students who are poorer and can't afford nice clothes like the other students don't have to feel intimidated, and the students who are richer can't show off and/or don't have to sit around listening to people ask for things (such as money).

Overall, I don't have a real strong opinion on this but I do think that students should be allowed to be who they are!! Uniforms just aren't necessary to establish order!! It can be done without them!

School Shootings? What's the point?

There have been a lot of reports about school shootings fairly resonantly and I just have to ask the question... Why??? There is absolutely NO point to shooting up a school!!

Maybe you are an "unsatisfied student," so what?? That's not a reason to go around shooting! Maybe you just got dumped by your girl/boy friend.... REALLY???? Your going to shoot up a school for that reason???

There is absolutely no reason to go on a rampage like that, especially because people can get hurt!! Nothing is worth killing for, especially anger!
