A fancy restaurant for an indoor mall!

I'm just going to take this time to comment on this restaurant located INSIDE A MALL in San Antonio. I could hardly believe that they would set up a restaurant like this inside a mall. It's incredible!

The above "building" may look real, but it's really just a set in a bigger building. Can you believe it? Kind of reminds me of sesame street. The whole set of sesame street is really just a street with a lot of "buildings" in another building.

Beware of the Teachers!

These days there are so many TEACHERS that abuse there positions by abusing kids. Some people like to point there suspicions at other people, but they completely trust their kids teachers. So many molesters and abusers slip through the cracks of the background checks and whatever else the school districts do to make sure their teachers are "safe."

I understand that there is only so much you can do to make sure that these people are "safe" and that these districts are doing all they can, but there needs to be something else they can do. I see on the news all the time that they've found another teacher that has been doing things to kids (for years even!!).

It's also really stupid how suspicious parents can get of other people, but they don't get suspicious of teachers. When there in the biggest position to abuse your children!

Leaving Home

It was hard to leave my family. The family that I've lived with all my life. It was also hard to leave my friends back in Oregon, but I'm in Texas now! Let's see what wonderful opportunities await!

A New Age of Crimes

I'm just going to take a minute to talk about this new age that we live in, and new things that criminals are coming up with to commit their crimes...

We live in an age of computers, an age of the internet, and Cybercrimes. Criminals (at least some of them) have learned the art of hacking, and a lot of them use it for evil (not all of them, mind you). With new hacking techniques comes new ways to beat the hackers, but then the hackers come up with new ways to beat what beat them, and it goes on..... and on...... and on.

The government is even predicting that the next terrorist attack will come from cyberspace rather than a bomb or anything else. It will be fascinating to find out what we come up with to combat these "Cybercriminals" next.

and let this be a warning to everyone!!! Be careful what you put on the internet, what you download from the internet, and what websites you visit.

Why are both of you working??

I have yet to understand this excessive need for both parents to work in a family. I can understand it when your child is old enough to be on his own, but when your kid is 7, 8, 9 or younger you should be there. Both of you are not needed to work. If you choose to have kids you or your spouse should stay home with him/her/them.

I'm not going to try and say that it should be the wife or anything (especially in this age) but ONE of you should stay home. This goes hand in hand with a previous post I made about preschool. I know you can just drop them off at some place and then go to work but it's too much..... you may think you can handle it but your FIRST duty is to your kids and that job will suffer if you add something else.

Sometimes what it comes down to is your 8 year old kid having to come home from school to an empty house and just stay there by him/herself till you come home, and that's not safe.

Phillip Phillips

I want to take a minute to talk about Phillip Phillips on here.





I think Phillip, since Colton left, is #1 on American Idol. I don't think any of the other contestants can do what he does. Even though he could move around a little more, he is the best and something is wrong with AI if he goes home without the title.

Janitor for a day!

I know this is a little late to talk about but last Friday I got to sub for a janitor at the local high school. It was a little weird because I practically just graduated from there. However, it was good.

I actually liked it better than being a janitor at the grade schools because they are SOOOOOOO MUCH more laid back about things. I worked hard and now I will have some money to spend.

Onward!! To Texas!

I'm going to be taking a long trip to Texas in June with my family and some friends. I'll be staying there but the rest of them will come back. I think it will be a fun adventure. We already have the entire trip mapped out!
