The Fair

The fair last week was pretty good, I went a couple days and watched the hypnotist, the juggler, and the Pig 'N' Ford Races. I was also in the cleanup crew on Sunday and I helped clean up after the fair. Right Now I am just sitting here waiting for my next class to start (only a couple more weeks in the term).

The Borg

" We are the Borg. You will be assimilated. Your biological and technological distinctiveness will be added to our own. Resistance is futile." The Borg, I've been watching Star Trek: Voyager and it is a pretty good show (even though it was made back in the 90s). The above quote is what the Borg always say to the new species they meet. When they assimilate someone or something (Assimilate: to take in and incorporate as one's own; absorb) they do exactly what the definition says they take in either technology or life forms and make them work for their own purposes. It wouldn't be very pleasant for anyone. The Borg don't do diplomacy and they are much superior (Technologically) to most other races so if you run into them... you better have a REALLY good strategy... or you're dead.

Got to do it

Today I didn't do any thing too interesting, Mostly watched Star Trek: Voyager from Netflix but now I have to write a paper for my Reading 90 class. Yesterday I went to church and helped out in the K-2 class. Not much else to talk about.

Super Heroes!!

Today I watched Captain America, it was a good movie but not better than the Green Lantern. I liked almost everything in the Green Lantern movie including the oath:

In other news I Pre-Ordered my copy of SWTOR today and it wasn't too late. This means I will get early game access. Can't Wait.

What's Up with me

SWTOR has not released any new updates on their website that I have not seen yet so I am waiting for them to give us release info and/or more updates about the game. Right now I am waiting in the college for my next class to start. I have been watching the old Star Trek: Voyager series on Netflix and it is pretty good.

Star Wars Game!!!!!!!

Today wasn't anything exciting. Yesterday I helped out in kids church for both first and second hour. Been playing heroes a lot, Just started another game today. I generated a small map with 2 players including me (One computer player). I've also been watching Star Wars: The Old Republic and it looks like it's going to come out soon (hopefully I have a job when it does so I can keep playing the game) but even if I'm not I've almost saved up enough money to pre-order the game which will give me early access plus one month free. That game will be THE BEST GAME EVER MADE.

GUESSTURES with FRIENDS

We had some friends come over today (not the ones I was talking about before but different ones). We ate a steak dinner with them and we also after dinner) played Guesstures with them. After all that it was time for them to go but it was fun. Guesstures is a really fun game that takes after charades but it has a timer and is a little different. Check it out!!

GOT OUT EARLY!!

I like getting released early from my classes (which seems to happen a lot for my reading 90 class since reading and writing 90 are combined and I am only taking reading 90). It gives me more time to do stuff like this blogging, checking my facebook, etc. I got released about 20 minutes early today because they were moving on to the writing part and I was only in reading. That means that I have about one hour until my next class starts. In other news... We have our friends (that we haven't seen in a long time) coming over in a couple weeks all the way from Mississippi.

Did You Know??? PANDORA!!!

I have found out about a cool site called Pandora where you can listen to the music you like. You can type in an artist or a song and it will start playing music like the artist or the song. It's pretty cool. It is free so there are a lot of advertisements. I'm still trying to figure out that program so there is nothing else to report on that. We're going to have friends coming over in a couple weeks that live almost on the other side of the states from us so that is pretty cool. Tell you more when I can.

Check It Out!!!

Yesterday I just started learning of this coding program called Live Code. It's cool and I've been playing with it trying to figure it out. It's probably the easiest and most useful language you can learn. Its English based and works on everything from your computer to your iPhone to your android, and it's very fun. Classes went good today and most of my time is spent trying to figure out that program so I have not much else to report.

OUR FRIENDS HAVE LEFT

Today is the day our friends from Washington left. We will see them again some day though so it's not too bad. Right now I am waiting for my next class here at the college like I do every Tuesday and Thursday at this time. My mom had to go to work today (she works at our church as the children's director and during the school year she works teaching music to preschool) so our friends brought me to the college with their van before they left. There's nothing else to report that I can think of right now.

Sunday

Sunday was GREAT!! First of all I went to church and helped out with some kids in what we call "Second Hour" Sunday school classes. My church does things opposite than most churches, we do the BIG sermon first and then we do Sunday school after. So, during Sunday school I went and helped with some preschoolers. Then we went home and started playing TWO games at the same time (A computer game called Heroes 5 and monopoly on the Wii). It was intense (and fun).

FIRST DAY WITH FRIENDS

Today was the first full day we had with our friends, they arrived last night and spent the night with us and they will leave on Sunday. We've known these people forever. Today we went to the beach, climbed a little sand hill, and hiked around a little. Other than that there's really nothing much to report.

FRIENDS!!!!!! Guilty Party and sorry about yesterday

I didn't have a post yesterday because I was in Portland for most of the day. I live in a small town and Portland is the biggest city around. While I was in Portland I bought Disney's game called Guilty Party:



I just got the game yesterday and I've already gone through the story mode from start to finish. There is still more to do in the game if you want to play in party mode and solve new mysteries in one of the locations.

Right now I am again sitting and waiting for my next college class to start. There are some friends coming over to our house today and by the time I get back home they should be there already. They should have been there about 35 minutes ago which was the plan but it sounds like they are still about an hour away. They live about one state up (or north) so it takes a few hours to get from their house to our house.

College News with post Fourth of July Update

Today I got out pretty early from my reading 90 class (about an hour early). The reason is because the teacher is now going over the essays that we turned in last week and she already went over mine with me so now I am free. My art class still starts at 6:00 so now I have about an hour and a half before I have to be at that class. The fourth of July was great!!! I went to the beach and saw all of the neat fire works that both the professionals were shooting off and that individuals were shooting off. We had some fire works but were unable to shoot them off because our lighter wouldn't work, we'll probably shoot them off today when I get home though.

I won't deny that I order out way too often. It's just so easy! But when you're single sometimes you just don't see the worth in trying to cook for yourself. But I'm really trying my hardest to do that more often so that I know how to cook and just won't have to rely on take out menus for the rest of my life.

I thought a really easy way to learn how to cook stuff would be to start out with something simple and perfect that, so I'm working on pizza right now. I was browsing online a few days ago for some new recipes and as I was doing that I saw the site www.Domainnames.com. After I read through it some I decided to come up with a blog talking about me learning how to cook for myself and the things that I just happen to throw together because of it.

I think that this is going to be really fun and make sure that I do stay faithful to my new goal in learning how to cook adequately. I want to be able to cook so well that I won't even want to order take out food any more.

Fourth of July (VBS Pictures)

Today (in just a little bit) we will be heading down to the beach for the fourth. We will have hotdogs, smores, etc. We will also set off fireworks and do all those fun July 4th stuff. By the way I have pictures from VBS that you can look at... (There might be duplicates, Sorry)
