Double Jeopardy

I'm just going to take this time to talk about this country's (USA) Double Jeopardy legal system. Double Jeopardy says that a person can't be tried twice for the same crime........ no exceptions.

Some disadvantages to this system is that if someone is given a not guilty verdict, they can come out bragging about how they actually did the crime and still get off scott free!

There are advantages to this system though..... a person can't be continuously harassed about a crime! It makes the cops come up with all the evidence they can before they try someone. They can't try someone, fail, find more evidence, try them again, fail, get more evidence, try them again, etc. The cops would be looking at this one person so much that they would completely pass by other suspects! They would interpret all the evidence with the notion that he.... or she..... is guilty!

I think that it is better to have this system in place then not. This system protects the people under it. Sure there are downsides...... but this is the best system there is.

The Avengers

I saw The Avengers on opening night. It was awesome!!!!! The only thing I didn't like is that they tried WAY too hard to put humor in the scenes that are non-humorous by nature, and that doesn't work!

There are some scenes in The Avengers that are supposed to be serious, but they destroyed them. Other than that it was a really good movie that I recommend everyone see. There are funny parts that I liked, because it's ok to put humor in those scenes but it gets old after awhile.

This is a movie worth seeing, so go see it (if you haven't already)!

I think my favorite hero (in this movie) is probably Hawkeye, just because I like that he uses his skill to overcome enemies. My least favorite is definitely Hulk because he's not really a hero, he's a monster!

If you don't like kids, stop working with them!!!

There are a lot of child abusers out there!!! My one question is WHY??? If you don't like kids then don't work with them!! So that the rest of us that do like them can work with them without the scrutiny and mistrust that those who would misuse their position have placed on us!!

I've read an article about hackers and they feel the same way. "Reporters who call criminals 'hackers' make us real hackers angry. Eric Raymond, author of 'The New Hacker's Dictionary,' says, 'Real hackers call these people ‘crackers’ and want nothing to do with them..."

There are now all of these rules and guidlines for what to not do and how to behave. A person can't just have fun with kids anymore without going through intense background checks.

I also find it interesting that the schools don't follow some of the rules that are forced on the rest of us. Like... The fact that you should have at least two people in one room with the kids at any time. Schools do have background checks done but that is about all they do, and then you hear stories about the school teacher who made sexual advances towards his kids in class.

There is absolutly no reason for that, and I want it to stop!!! So that the ones of us who just want to have some fun with the kids sometimes don't have to be looking over our sholders wondering if anyone is going to accuse us of something that we didn't do!
