Vegetarian or Vegan?? I say MEAT!!

When we were first created we were all Vegetarians (even the dinosaurs, lions, tigers, and bears). However, after Noah came off the ark God said

"...Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the earth. The fear and dread of you will fall upon all of the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air, upon every creature that moves along the ground, and upon all the fish of the sea; they are given into your hands. Everything that lives and moves will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, now I give you everything."

We are now allowed to eat meat, and there is some nutrients in meat that we shouldn't deprive ourselves of.. "By avoiding beef, you are over 7 times more likely to suffer a zinc deficiency." http://www.mnwelldir.org/docs/nutrition/meat.htm

Men are now natural meat eaters and to deprive yourself of meat (or other animal products) is actually really unhealthy. I've heard the vegetarians who think "Meat is Murder." I also find it odd that they then turn around and advocate FOR abortion. All I have to say to those people is... Animals are animals, they do not get the same rights as humans (sure we shouldn't go kill happy), but God made us the height of his creation and he gave us permission to kill and eat. So that's what we should do. |

Touch? New T.V. series

I've been watching touch (airing here at 9:00 PM on thursdays) since it started airing and it seems interesting. It's good to see 24's Jack Bauer back in action again. I like it so far.

It seems like they're trying to keep a little bit of mystery in the show like lost did, and it seems like it's a tad bit like next edition. His son can see everything... Past, present, and future... and it's up to him to understand what his son is saying and try to help the people that he's lead to.

I think it's interesting so far and I hope it stays that way.

The Hunger Games

I watched "The Hunger Games" yesterday.

All I have to say to that is.... O....K.... anytime a movie leaves me with more questions than answers it's not a good thing. Like, how and why did the little "alliance" form during the game, Why did the boy from district 12 join the alliance and try to hunt down the girl that he was clearly in love with. Then he just joins her and helps her defeat the rest of them?? Why did the fighting break out in district 11?? She's not even from district 11!!

On a scale of 1 to 10 I would have to rate THG as a 4, it was good, but not that good.

Another thing is the brutality of the fighting in the movie. When you see a fight scene like this:



It's just cool, but when you see one like in THG it's just barbaric and wrong. People hacking other people up with axes and swords is just cruel and there is little reason behind it.

If you don't like kids, stop working with them!!!

There are a lot of child abusers out there!!! My one question is WHY??? If you don't like kids then don't work with them!! So that the rest of us that do like them can work with them without the scrutiny and mistrust that those who would misuse their position have placed on us!!

I've read an article about hackers and they feel the same way. "Reporters who call criminals 'hackers' make us real hackers angry. Eric Raymond, author of 'The New Hacker's Dictionary,' says, 'Real hackers call these people ‘crackers’ and want nothing to do with them..."

There are now all of these rules and guidlines for what to not do and how to behave. A person can't just have fun with kids anymore without going through intense background checks.

I also find it interesting that the schools don't follow some of the rules that are forced on the rest of us. Like... The fact that you should have at least two people in one room with the kids at any time. Schools do have background checks done but that is about all they do, and then you hear stories about the school teacher who made sexual advances towards his kids in class.

There is absolutly no reason for that, and I want it to stop!!! So that the ones of us who just want to have some fun with the kids sometimes don't have to be looking over our sholders wondering if anyone is going to accuse us of something that we didn't do!

The Lorax

I watched The Lorax in the theater on monday. I thought it was great!! It was really funny!! This was one of my favorite Dr. Seuss books when I was growing up and I think that they did a really good job of expanding the story (and even adding an extra villain).

Google has self driving cars. Who knows when they will be in the hands of common people like us. I think that people will eventually be comfortable with self driving cars but it could take some time after they are put on the market for people to get comfortable with them.

Let's talk about a shark tank!!

No, not a real shark tank with real sharks. I'm talking about a TV show that airs (in my timezone) at 8 o'clock on Fridays:



This is a show where several investors (or sharks), Barbara Corcoran (Manhattan real estate titan), Kevin Harrington (king of infomercials), Robert Herjavec (technology tycoon), Daymond John (fashion mogul) and Kevin O'Leary (venture capitalist), hear a lot of crazy, insane, but bright ideas.

After hearing an idea and discussing all it's ins and outs it with the entrepreneur(s) they must decide whether or not to present the person with an offer (either what they're asking for or something different). Sometimes the sharks have to "fight" each other for a piece of the company (if they think it's an acceptable enough risk):



I think the show is great, I even think it is a little better that undercover boss (which I love too). It's interesting to hear about all the new businesses that are growing and to hear about everyone's crazy ideas.
